If you’re someone who craves adventure, then you’re always looking for your next adrenaline rush. There’s nothing quite like seeking out your next big trip and making it the time of your life.
You’ve got all the right gear like your new hiking boots, your men’s alpaca hoodie, and your new backpack you just picked up last week. The only thing that would stop you now is water breaks and moments where you need to catch a quick bite.
Below are some of the best hikes out there. Make sure to check them out soon or at least add them to your hiking bucket list.
Camino de Santiago de Compostela, Spain
If you’ve got a week or so, then this is the perfect hike for you. This hike starts in eastern Spain and ends at the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela. Along the way, you’ll meet plenty of hikers from all over the world, called peregrinos, who are making the trek.
Not only that, but you’ll get to enjoy plenty of local Spanish food as you cross multiple regions. This is a great area for people who like ham because they’ll be chowing down on plenty of it over the next few weeks.
Dragon’s Back, Hong Kong
Even though concrete streets and tall buildings may come to mind when you think of Hong Kong, that doesn’t mean that the place is nothing but modern landscapes. Hong Kong has a number of beautiful hiking trails, top of which is Dragon’s Back.
You can get there pretty easily by public transportation from downtown and the views are spectacular. You can take a breather at the spotless beaches if you want to cool off after your hike.
The Indus Valley, India
Heading a bit west to stop in India, where the Indus Valley has some of the most beautiful hiking trails on the planet. Hiking across the valley takes about three days, so make sure you’ve brought your men’s alpaca hoodie when the weather starts to get a little nippy.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can always try the seven-day trek of going through the Himalayas. It’s recommended to stay a bit longer in the area as India has a lot to offer besides these amazing hiking trails!
West Coast Trail, Vancouver Island
Finally, somewhere a bit closer to home, right? Vancouver Island is right off the western coast of Canada, and it’s absolutely packed with wonderful hiking trails among the lush forests. It’s quite long, so you should pick out a few trails you would like to hit if don’t want to go through the entire thing.
The one caveat with this trail is that it’s really popular and you will want to make sure you’re reserving a spot well ahead of time as the trails can get pretty crowded.
Cloud Forest, Laos
Heading back to the opposite side of the world, Cloud Forest just sounds really cool. Why wouldn’t you want to give it a try? This is a multi-day tour, so be prepared to be on the trails for a while. You might also see some of the area’s wild tigers, which have become endangered over the last few years.
For the big-time hikers out there, it’s always great to check out a new trail or a new mountain. There’s just something about the open sky and fresh air that makes you feel alive. Take this opportunity to explore the world and yourself while you trek across new territory.
